Visit from Mentors Inspires Community

photo During the week of May 12, Ross School and Ross Institute were pleased to welcome Founding Mentor William Irwin Thompson; Santiago Ortiz, creator of the Spiral Curriculum interactive model; and data architect Dani Aguilar on their visit to the community. Over the course of the week, the three met with students, faculty, and staff to discuss the evolution and significance of the Spiral Curriculum and Ross Learning System, provide inspiring lectures about complex cultural and technical theories, and conduct working sessions to continue to enhance Ross School education practices.

A highlight for the Lower School students was Dr. Thompson’s “storytelling” session. At the Upper School, students were fascinated by a data visualization workshop conducted by Santiago and Dani.
