A Hauntingly Good Time

Ross Upper School celebrated Halloween a little early with an all-school celebration the evening of October 25. The path was transformed into a spooky, red-lit trail, leading costume-clad students into the Center for Well-Being for the Halloween party and dance. The lower level of the CWB was decorated with six-foot-tall mannequins hanging from the ceiling, cobwebs, a custom-built fortune-telling room featuring tarot card reader Lexi Giebler, and ghosts and goblins lurking around every corner. Students filled the gymnasium, dancing, laughing, and drinking “swamp water,” a green-colored soda concoction with gummy worms.

The party brought together the entire school community from start to finish, with students, faculty, staff, interns, and parents providing their ideas, support, and cooperation. Special thanks are due to Sonja Becker, associate director of Residential Life, and Jon Mulhern, Visual Arts teacher and house parent, for heading up the organization of the party; to Ross US Student Government; to the Parents Association for running the fundraiser and generously donating prizes and decorations; and to all the interns and students for providing their time, support, and energy to make this one of the best parties the Ross School community has ever seen.
