Ross Presents Fall One-Act Plays

Ross School’s beloved Fall One-Act Plays opened to rave reviews on November 8 in the Court Theater. You Never Know What You Might Get! features nine short one-act plays from various playwrights, including Ross sophomore Lily Baron. There will be two more performances, on Friday, November 9, and Saturday, November 10. The curtain opens at 7pm both nights.

Under the guidance of Ross School’s Theater Director Gerard Doyle, a cast of 35 Ross Upper School students performs in an eclectic mix of plays, ranging from downright funny, to slightly surreal, to moving and thought-provoking. Each of them addresses aspects of the human condition.

Return of Sheniqua, written and directed by Lily Baron, is the sequel to Flying Is Like a Box of Chocolates, which was featured in last year's One-Act Plays production. The play stars Ross students Ioannis Giannakopoulos and Adin Doyle.

Other plays include Crayon Rally, starring Georgia Briere, Emily Costello, Nina Damiecki, Tristan Griffin, Valentina Monsalve, and Adelia Rattray; A New Style, featuring Caitlin Aripotch, Rory Gallaher, Isabelle Rowe, Amanda Stuart, and Carley Wootton; The Audition, starring Elie Dombrowski, Caitlin Martin, Daisy Miller, and Lucia Robinson; and The First Dictionary Salesman, featuring Emily Austopchuck, Tristan Griffin, Sami Habib, Leila Murphy, and Valeriy Kuchuk.

Following a brief intermission, the remaining plays performed were Lunchtime, starring Evelyn Krivorotova, Lena Ardengo, and Aubrey Jowers; All Cotton, featuring Jessie Olorenshaw and Evelyn Krivorotova; No Dogs Allowed, featuring Denise Mulenga and Aubrey Jowers; and The Sin Eater, starring Julia Lucas, Maria Popova, and Aubrey Jowers.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students and seniors, available at the door only.
